Senior Reimbursement Counselor for one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world by day and event host extraordinaire by night, Chiazo Ogbu is a man of many faces and talents. The Maryland, USA native hailing from Imo State, Nigeria has been entertaining the masses through his energetic and vibrant hosting skills since 2002. As a diamond in the rough, he started hosting events and engagements all while pursuing a Microbiology degree at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Anambra State. As time progressed, the hungry and determined Nigerian knew that it was time to move on to bigger and higher feats. In 2007, Chiazo, also known as Chaz made his way to the land of opportunity and where the rest of his story is being written at this very moment.

As he began to make a name for himself in the African entertainment industry in the diaspora, one could no longer refer to Mr. Ogbu as simply “Chaz” anymore. Whether it’s hosting weddings or respectfully performing Master of Ceremony duties at funerals, Emcee Chaz makes it his duty to ensure that every event he hosts is a memorable one.  Hosting birthday parties in Texas and entertaining guests at wedding receptions in Toronto, Emcee Chaz has traveled far and wide, and even across country borders to bless the his people with his eccentric hosting skills.

And it doesn’t stop there. Unlike many entertainers who seem to only perfect and flourish in one facet of the industry without knowing how to cross over into other avenues, Emcee Chaz has proved that his hosting skills can not and will never limit him. Chaz Ogbu took his talents, charm, and humor into the world of acting when he was cast as the main character in the upcoming comedy “Wonderland” that was directed and produced by Nigerian movie producer George Kalu. Kalu scouted Chaz Ogbu after he watched a Facebook video Chaz made. Deeming him a “raw and natural talent for the big screen”, Kalu gave Chaz a chance to prove himself and the rest was history!

When Emcee Chaz isn’t working, acting, or hosting, you can find him comfortably at home watching and studying movies. And when you can’t seem to get a hold of him, it may be because his phone is on airplane mode due to his frequent traveling for both work and leisure. As one sits here to review Chaz Ogbu’s many accomplishments, one can not forget to make mention of his ultimate goal of using all the abilities he believes God has blessed him with in order to bless others both in his homeland, America and the rest of the world. In 2015, Chaz Ogbu plans to begin charitable effort to assist vulnerable and excluded communities and individuals throughout the globe by helping provide them with basic essentials with the help of young adult professionals, working class, students and entertainers
